Jan and her husband Jim moved to WV from Alabama, where she was actively involved through the years with teaching women’s classes and Sunday School for all ages. Gary and Brenda Wallace joined First Baptist in January, 2017 when they relocated to Maxwelton, WV. Gary is a retired JCPenney store manager and a retired BB&T branch manager. Paul Dowdy joined FBC in 2018. He currently serves as Chairman of the Deacons, teacher of The Forge Sunday School class, and recreation leader for VBS. Kallie is passionate about working with teens and youth in Greenbrier County and is excited to help build the future of our church! Youth Group leaders helped her develop a relationship with Christ as a child, so she is eager to help guide the next generation. Julian Meadows, AWANA Commander
Julian and his wife of fifty-two years, Martha, moved to Lewisburg in 1973, where he established a dental office and served the community for forty years. The Meadows have three children, all of whom made a profession of faith and were baptized at FBC. Julian has held many jobs at First Baptist. Mary Fleshman, FBC’s Custodian, provides our church with a consistently clean and well-kept setting for all activities in both the sanctuary and annex buildings. As caretaker of Sunday School classrooms, the gymnasium, the church offices, the Fellowship Hall, church kitchens, and the worship auditorium, Mary takes pride in FBC’s facilities being ready for each scheduled use. Paula McLaughlin serves as director of WMU and also teaches Sunday School for 3rd-5th graders. She helps with the TNT AWANA group and teaches a Vacation Bible School class.
