Student Ministry

First Baptist Student Ministries is our ministry to middle school and high school students in grades six through twelve. We seek to work beside parents to disciple our students into gospel-maturity. Each Sunday morning and evening we meet for fellowship, worship, and teaching from God’s Word. In an effort to be hearers and doers of the Word, we also meet each Wednesday for our Approved program. During the school year we help and assist with the AWANA children’s program at the church. In addition, we offer many opportunities for students to develop relationships, use their spiritual gifts, and grow in their faith through mission trips, retreats, service projects, and group events. In all we do, our desire is to see our students being and making disciples of Christ.

Sunday School

We meet at 10:00 AM in the Youth Room. During this time students are taught verse by verse through Scripture.

Sunday Nights

Sunday nights middle and high school students meet together to play games, eat, worship, and learn from the Word of God. During this time we also break into small groups that are separated by age and gender. This connects students with an adult whom they can be mentored by, grows community, and allows students to ask questions they usually wouldn’t in large-group sessions.

Approved is our Wednesday night program from 6:45-8:15 PM. Students take this opportunity to help serve in our AWANA program as helpers. We love to see our students being hearers and doers of the Word! To ensure students are prepared to serve, we do ask that participants be a part of our Sunday night program before serving on Wednesday nights.

Retreats for middle and high school students provide an opportunity for students and their small group leaders to spend a weekend away, having fun and learning more about God. Retreats provide a good time for community building and strengthening relationships among small group members as well as the youth group as a whole.
