Andy was born in Morgantown, West Virginia. At age four, his parents returned to Craigsville, West Virginia, where Andy was raised. His mother and father started taking him and his two brothers to a small Baptist church in Craigsville, and at the age of nine Andy accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized shortly thereafter. He graduated from Richwood High School and earned a B.A. in Political Science and Legal Studies from Virginia Tech. After finishing his undergraduate degree, Andy earned a Juris Doctor degree from the West Virginia University College of Law. After law school, Andy married his wife Karen, who works as a speech pathologist in the local school system. He currently practices law as an assistant prosecuting attorney in Monroe County, West Virginia. Andy and Karen enjoy traveling, especially to the beach, and spending time with their dog Luci.
Andy and Karen joined FBC Fairlea in the spring of 2016, where they both love serving the Lord and working to grow His kingdom together. Andy was ordained as a Deacon on October 15, 2017, and was voted to take the position of Deacon Chairman in October of 2018. Andy has a passion for sharing Christ with others, especially teenagers, and has a heart for taking the Gospel to members of the community who battle an addiction to drugs. Andy’s heart as Deacon Chairman has been encouraging the Deacons of the church toward biblical servanthood and discipleship.
