Children’s Ministry

There is no doubt that God loves children, and at FBC, we do too! Children are a gift from God, and it is our desire to share the Word of God with children of all ages in engaging and creative ways.

Partnering With You

Our goal is to point children to Jesus and help them grow in their faith, but we also realize that you, as parents, have the greatest opportunity to influence the spiritual development of your children. Each week your children will be taught truths from God’s word and sent home with tools and resources for you to continue the teaching at home. These resources are designed to create natural conversations about God as families experience life together, as in Deuteronomy 11:19: “Teach these to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”

Sunday School

We have Sunday School classes available for children of all ages! Our teachers are eager to meet your children and partner with you in teaching your children the Word! For more information about Sunday School classes, please see click here to learn more about Sunday School.

Adventure Kids

Dog E. Dog, Adventure Kids’ Mascot 🙂

Life with God is an adventure! At FBC we seek to equip children with the truth of God’s word. We want to enable them to stand boldly and confidently in these times and make an impact on their generation by the power of the Holy Spirit. On Sunday mornings during the 11:00 service, children ages 3 through 5th grade first meet together for singing, puppet shows, mission moments, and interactive lessons. Then children ages 3 through kindergarten have an opportunity to go their own class for exciting lessons, songs, crafts, and play, while the 1st-5th grade students remain together for action-packed lessons. Each month special events offered both inside and outside the church provide opportunities for Adventure Kids and their families to “gather, grow, and go”!

AWANA

Our AWANA program is one of the best in the area. Every Wednesday night from 6:45-8:15 during the school year, we have 100 volunteers and children gathering in our annex building. To register your child for AWANA, click here.

Safety

Your children’s safety is of the utmost importance to us. All volunteers or staff who will spend time with your children are screened with a criminal background check. Also, our video surveillance system is monitored during Sunday morning services. In addition, there is a Children’s Check-In Station in the Welcome Center for all children attending Adventure Kids. Each parent or guardian receives a label specific to each child. This label is used for drop-off and pick-up during the 11 AM service.
